The ISSI Universal Modular Frame Building System (MFBS™) can be used in conjunction with a conventional wood flooring system or with a steel frame and concrete topped steel decking floor system.  It can be used in multi-story construction, at a height above that which is allowed for wood construction. The ISSI  MFBS™ produces a finished structure superior to conventional wood-frame construction without wall shrinkage or warping.  Internal seismic and wind bracing alleviates the need for plywood wall sheathing, shear board or strap bracing,  which can "read through" finished walls of standard stud framing.  The systems are welded together with high-strength galvanized steel tubing.

The prefabricated wall panels have been tested by Underwriters Laboratories and have 1, 2, 3 and 4 hour UL fire, life and safety ratings.

When combined with steel framing and concrete topped metal decking, the ISSI  MFBS™ results in a non-combustible, fire-rated structure that wood systems cannot duplicate.  Normally, the entire structural frame can be erected before the concrete is poured.
