 Design Process

Once the Building Permit has been approved and changes addressed, ISSI begins the Shop Drawing / Detailing scope of work.  All ISSI projects are Three Dimensionally Modeled using CAD and X-Steel technology.  By modeling our projects before they are actually built in the shop or field, we can anticipate any connection details and modify them. The model is then broken down into individual panels and shop drawings are created.  It is from this shop drawing model that we create a field installation drawing.  When the product reaches you, it will have been modeled and reviewed several times to ensure accuracy.

The shop drawings are critical to our success.  Each panel is dimensioned, tagged and illustrated to ensure their production accuracy.  A cut list is included with bolt hole locations so that each panel in the job will be of the same height and the hole locations match.  Our state-of-the-art sawing and drilling machinery allow for entire jobs to be cut and drilled in batches.  The interior and exterior studs are also batch cut and located on the drawing.  This allows us to maintain standard stud spacing and make the finish work a snap!

Upon analysis completion, our Engineer issues stamped drawings and calculations for the Owner and Building Department.  These drawings are used for the issuance of a building permit.
